In 2023, a survey by the NLM observed an “increasing trend of poor hygiene practices” in low-income nations, such as not brushing one’s teeth or even washing hands. As body misinformation continues to spread and diseases run rampant, many youth still remain susceptible to stigma about their very own bodies, and it has become strikingly apparent that we must begin revitalizing proper hygiene education. Welcome to TeenClean, where we strive to address just that by advocating smart practices for teen health and self-confidence.
Here at TeenClean, our core mission is empowering the youth with the essential resources to cultivate healthier habits, as well as educating them the knowledge to battle hygiene stigma. Our efforts target community involvement through a variety of means: product drives, conferences, social media polls, website blogs, partnerships and more. Evidently, whether it’s through in-person or online initiatives, TeenClean is constantly diversifying how we address the issue of hygiene beyond what has been already done.
Hygiene issues know no borders and neither do we. Our movement is undeniably dynamic, and as a multi-chapter organization actively working on projects across the globe, we highly prioritize extending our outreach anywhere and any way we can. We have a variety of positions open in project management, content creation and executive management depending on your level of interest in joining an existing chapter or starting your own. Furthermore, with our youth-driven leadership, TeenClean stays highly engaged with our members and is constantly contributing to the hygiene cause through a number of partnership/sponsorship opportunities.
